All nine cat lives matter! Welcome to the revolution! The Cat Chronicles is a place for cat obsessed people like yourself to enjoy stories, view precious kitty pictures, and obtain information about our King’s and Queen’s.

Grey-cat-catnipI wanted to create a site where cat parents can read reviews on cat products that I have experience with to ensure their kitties are eating the best food, drinking from the best fountains, and playing with the best cat toys!  I blog about cat experiences and information, busting myths, discussing best options for your kitties health and wellness, and offering tips and tricks for you to be the best cat parent you can be! Why? Because our royalty, our children, our furry family members deserve nothing but the best! Quite frankly it’s a meowt time!!

I am the proud parent to my large all grey son Silvio Dante, named after my favorite character uncle-sil-catfrom The Sopranos.  Like the mafioso that he is, he also likes to be called Uncle Sil, Sil, Handsome, King, Gentleman and the list goes on! I am sure you can relate to the plethora of kitty names we give our babies. No one has just one name for their cat!

My first love was my all grey kitty named Mr. Grey. Have you seen the movie Reservoir Dogs? Well if you haven’t, Reservoir Dogs is a 1992 American heist film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino in his feature-length debut. Packed with a stellar cast of diamond thieves mr-grey-catwhose planned heist of a jewelry store goes terribly wrong. Each thief use aliases: Mr. Blonde, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown, Mr. Orange, Mr. Pink, and Mr. White…So this prompted the inspiration for my first kitty being named Mr.Grey!! The original Reservoir Cat!

I am interested to hear from you. What was your first cats name and what is the story behind it! Leave a comment below, spread the kitty love and be part of the nine cat lives matter revolution!

  1. My first cat was Princess. She was found wondering by a railroad. Her name at the shelter was Kobe. I went through a few names before I started just calling her kitty. A move tin San Diego prompted me to ask my parents to cat sit her until I could fly home and take precious kitty to the west coast. When I came to retrieve her my parents had renamed her Princess and it became clear I was never getting her back. She was a wonderful, loving cat who enjoyed 18 long years as my parents 3rd child. We all miss her gentleness and her sweet face.

    • Thank you for sharing your story about Princess! Our kitties are truly Royalty, so that is such a fitting name. I am sure princess had 18 wonder-FULL years on her throne! What a blessing that you rescued her and gave her the absolute BEST life she could live! All nine cat lives matter, and sounds like princess lived her nine lives, loved, cared for and happy! Thanks for purrticipating by sharing your first cats name and story.
